Shakespeare Dallas will present Pride and Prejudice for its second annual Winter Season performance. The performance marks the company’s full-production indoor program for its 49th season. Check out the classic tale when it comes alive on stage this Saturday, January 18th at Moody Performance Hall!
Finding a husband is hardly Elizabeth Bennet's most urgent priority. However, with four sisters, an overzealous match-making mother, and a string of unsuitable suitors, it's difficult to escape the subject. When the independent-minded Elizabeth meets the handsome but enigmatic Mr. Darcy, all feelings of attraction are muted by his pride and her prejudice.
As their worlds keep colliding, their attraction increases. But they first must overcome their own weaknesses and many other obstacles before the most famous courtship in history can begin. In a society where subtle snubs and deceit proliferate, is it possible for Elizabeth and Darcy to look beyond his pride and her prejudice, and to make the best match of all?
The production of Pride and Prejudice is based on the novel by Jane Austen and is adapted for the stage by Jon Jory. The indoor performance will be guest directed by Christie Vela.
