Enjoy a festival designed just for children at this event on Saturday! On October 19th, Laughter League will present the inaugural Dallas International Children’s Festival. The first-ever Dallas International Children’s festivals will fill your heart with joy—from Afro-Brazilian Martial Arts to the storytelling dance of India to the syncopated rhythm of tap dancing phenoms.
Celebrating the diverse cultural heritage of Dallas, youth performers will dance, sing, and drum, performing Afro Brazilian Martial Arts, the storytelling dance of India, tap dancing, and more.
For the second time in North Texas, Laughter League and The Petite Palace will come together to create an eclectic tent show that takes audiences on an unparalleled journey that combines the dazzling, daring aura of Cirque du Soleil with the madcap mirth of Saturday Night Live. Circus stars from The Petite Palace will perform and give festival-goers tips on how to juggle, spin plates and hang from a trapeze.
Festival-goers will also have a chance to create masks, test their juggling skills in the circus area, see what it feels like to be a part of a drum circle, and have a chance to show their strength at the exciting Ninja Warrior obstacle course with demonstrations by special guest and America Ninja Warrior finalist Grant McCartney, the Island Ninja.
Laughter League is a group of professional medical clowns serving Cook Children's Medical Center Ft. Worth, Boston Children's Hospital and Hasbro Children's Hospital. Laughter League is a non-profit organization whose mission is to utilize the transformative power of humor to impact the lives of families and children.
Enjoy a day of nonstop play this Saturday at the International Children's Festival! The Festival is free and open to the public and will be an exciting day of interaction prior to the matinee performance of The Petite Palace. For more information, visit www.laughterleague.org.
